Site clearing almost finished. All the stone from the old ruined walls from the farmstead/entrance area has been stacked ready for re-use. Sightlines for driveway exit from the property have been cleared. Protective fencing still to be erected around the existing trees and the hedgerows and left for the duration of the project.
Large flagstones have been found on the floor, under all the debris in the old farmstead. All roof slates and clay ridges have been stored for re-use. The broken pieces of slate to be incorporated into a large mosaic in the new house.
Drawings for Phase II - the restoration of the stone buildings and the retaining wall and platform for the new build - are in progress.
