The 'Glazed Link' or Dining Room area connects the Garage/Guest Rooms to the main house. An exciting day with the installation of the steel structure.....

The Windows have arrived!


.....and we're not quite ready for them! The reveals have to be fully finished - slate and plaster reveals and window soffits - before the windows can be installed. There is a 12mm gap around the window which is filled with an Illmod expanding weatherproof foam.

Chalk Hares occupying the building site!

On the day we started the restoration of the farmstead - a large hare jumped up onto the broken stonewall - saw the mini-digger and took fright and was gone.
And now they are back....
In the Living Room.... !

Roof Felting and Slate Battens


The felting - Pro-Clima Solitex Plus breathable membrane and the fixing of the 50 x 38mm slate battens has started on the main part of the house while the blockwork above the garage is rapidly rising.....
