Work begins....

The tender has been awarded to Seanie O'Mahony, Building Services for the vegetation clearing from the existing Farmstead and Outbuildings and from the entrance site and work will begin this week...

Bulb planting

I have saved a few clumps of snowdrops and daffodils from the entrance areas from possible damage from the proposed entrance site clearing. They've been re-planted under the new White Stemmed Birch under whispy blue skies......

Note the one jumpimg for joy!

Phase One - Vegetation clearance from entrance area and existing Farmstead and Outbuildings

The original farmstead hiding in last year's vegetation!

Met contractors on site on Friday 12th April to discuss the scope of works for clearing entrance area and the derelict buildings - the original farmstead and 2 small sheds - of invasive
vegetation - namely ivy and an ash tree! These buildings will become the service areas to the new build - the old farmstead to house a workshop area for the new studio, with kiln and wheel, an electrical switch room and the main water tank. The one outbuilding to house the air/heat pump and the other a garden shed.

Sketch for Outbuildings.
